Cub Scout Day Camp

What:         Highlander Day Camp- Fayetteville, North Carolina

Who:          Cub Scouts who are Rising 1st grade-Rising 5th grade
(rising means the grade youth will move up to for the next school year)

When:        June 18-22, 2018

Drop Off/Pick Up
Monday-Thursday; 8:00 am-4:00 pm (aftercare available until 5:30 pm for $6 daily)
Friday 8:00 am -1 pm (no aftercare available)

How much:
Early Bird Registration Fee $90 per scout until May 14, 2018
Regular Registration Fee $120 May 15- May 28, 2018.
Additional $25 fee for youth not registered as cub scouts

Why:  To Have FUN! Scouts participate in the following activity centers:

Archery, BB, Sling Shot, Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Games, Webelos specific activities, and more!

Each scout must bring a water bottle, snack and lunch. Scouts should bring sunscreen lotion, no spray sunscreen allowed in camp.

This is an all volunteer camp. All families are expected to volunteer in some way to help to make this camp possible. Volunteer opportunities include camp preparation, as day or week long volunteers, or with camp set up or clean up. Did you know active duty soldiers may request Permissive TDY for Scouting? Request a letter here to share with your command.

Camp Volunteer Needs: Camp is generally in need of week-long volunteers as den leaders, station coordinators, and pixie camp workers. (Gift cards will be given to 5 day volunteers with paid youth registration).  Volunteers can also give mornings, afternoons or a day. A parent must attend a parent orientation meeting. (See time line for options).  Parents will turn in cub scouts BSA Health and Medical Record Parts A&B and a copy of the parent’s Youth Protection Certificate as soon as possible after registering for camp but no later than June 7, 2018.

Tiger Cubs must have an adult partner (age 18 or older). The adult may be a parent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or even a neighbor.

 If you have younger children, we provide a Pixie Camp (onsite childcare) for your days of volunteering. This is a structured program with their own schedule, crafts, and games.

Camp staff needs time to prepare for your child’s needs and organize participants into dens.

Last opportunity to drop off forms in person will be from 6 – 7 pm at Roundtable (Gardner UMC 4555 Rosehill Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311) on June 7, 2018.
